Patent classes: CPC codes, Mergeflow tag names, and official class descriptions

Because most people don't know what e.g. "A23J" stands for, and because "protein compositions for foodstuffs - working-up proteins for foodstuffs - phosphatide compositions for foodstuffs" is quite long, we simply use "food proteins" in this case.

At our granularity level, we use more than 650 patent classes (for patents but also non-patents). Here is a table with the complete set of classes, the names we use for tag clouds, and the official class descriptions:
